About me
Karen McClaflin was born and raised in Crescent City and moved to Sacramento in 2003. She has been the Executive Director of the ALS Association and the California Automobile Museum (2006-2015) before focusing on Development at both Goodwill and Broadway Sacramento as their Director of Development and then returning to the California Automobile Museum for a second term.
Karen is active in her church, The Table UMC, where she serves as Finance Chair and Home Group leader, previous worship leader and conference speaker. In constant pursuit of artistic outlets, she dabbles in singing, drama, dance and creative writing. Karen loves to shop, read, travel to any location with a beach, and has a shoe collection of over 100 pairs.
Karen is a breast cancer survivor, Raider fan, Mom to 2 grown children and Tutu (Grandma in Hawaiian) to 3 grandkids, loves good beer, new restaurants and folk music.
Pursuing a vocation in nonprofits, specifically fundraising, has been the focus of her career, and she says the twitching eye, graying hair and the occasional night terrors are all worth it.
