About me
Jim has led a varied career, beginning with a degree in biology from Indiana University Bloomington. He worked as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, where he helped to develop and identify the drug Humira. After studying film preservation at the George Eastman House, Jim began working as an archivist and film preservationist, and became the curator of the Nitrate Film Collection, bringing in the David Lynch Collection to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Film Archive.In 2017, Jim joined the Digitization Team at the Petersen Automotive Museum, where he contributed his archival, scientific, and photographic knowledge to the SEMA project. He became the Special Collections Preservationist and is currently the Archive & Library Manager.
